We harvested rooibos on our farm by hand, and we have loose rooibos available for sale in 200g packs @R30 each.
The seeds are carefully gathered from the farm lands, prepared for germination and planted in our nursery on Maskam Guest Farm. At the right age, they are carefully planted onto the farmlands.
Various steps are taken to ensure the plants grow well for optimal harvest.
In summer the Rooibos is hand-cut with sickles, bound and immediately transported to our tea processing court.
At the processing court the Rooibos tea is cut and watered with our spring water (Maskam means place of water) and covered. The Rooibos undergoes a fermentation process during the night.
The next morning when full aroma and sweetness develops, the tea is dried under the baking sun.
We are organically certified and deliver our tea to Cape Natural products where it is exported. We are thrilled about our quality and received an award for the best tea sample in 2022.
Delivery with Paxi (PEP to PEP) @R100.
